Peter Mallett is a university professor and writer based in Japan. He has written for The Asahi Evening News, Gramophone Japan, Opera News, The New Internationalist etc. His short stories have appeared in Kyoto Journal, The Font and East Lit, and the anthology Eternal; he won the 1st Writers in Kyoto Writing Contest in 2016 and was runner up in the 2017 Scottish Arts Club Short Story Contest.
